The Annual Meeting of JCRW members is February 6, 2012 at 7:30 p.m.

at the offices of JCRW at 1009 State Highway 16, Jerseyville, IL 62052.

Thermal Expansion Tanks must NOW BE INSTALLED

Dear Customer -

In summer 2010 you were sent a letter stating that you had until January 1, 2011 to have your thermal expansion tank installed on your water heater.

Extra time has been allotted, but now we must move forward with our Cross Connection Control Program, which requires that dual check valves be installed in your water meter. If you HAVE NOT INSTALLED your thermal expansion tank it can cause a safety issue when the dual check valve is installed.

Signs of thermal expansion danger could be spikes in water pressure and/or the pop-off valve on your water heater failing (which would mean water draining from the water heater) – if the pop-off valve on your water heater doesn’t work correctly, it can cause the water heater to explode. Please be aware of these dangers and get your thermal expansion tank installed immediately.

Lake Piasa Booster Upgrade

The Lake Piasa Booster Upgrade, currently under construction, will be replacing the current below ground booster station at Lake Piasa with a new above-ground three pump station.

Brighton Elevated Tank

Built in 1991, this 400,000 gallon elevated water tank is the largest water tower at JCRW.

Swisher Road 8-inch Main Loop

Completed in May 2011, this project tied two lines together to enable more water and better flow to the Shipman Elevator Company and the East side of the water distribution system.

Piasa Creek Booster Pump Station

Completed in 2003, the Piasa Creek Booster Pump Station was added to serve the western portions of our area.

Southland Elevated Water Tower

Completed in 1993, the Southland Elevated Water Tower project was constructed to provide more storage due to customer growth.

St. Mary’s Elevated Water Tower

Completed in 2004, the St. Mary’s Elevated Water Tower enabled JCRW to provide 300+ customers in western Jersey County’s Fieldon/Rosedale area with water service.

Beatty Mound Booster Pump Station and Ground Storage

Completed in 2003, the Beatty Mound Booster Pump Station was built to pump water to the St. Mary’s water tower, a 300,000 gallon elevated water tank that serves more than 300 customers.
